1. About these terms
These terms cover using this website and buying digital items from its store, such as guides, workbooks and hypnosis audio. The seller is Simon Taylor, trading as The Dynamic Therapist, City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. Email: bookings@thedynamictherapist.com.
One-to-one sessions and programmes have their own terms, which you'll see and agree to in your proposal before anything is paid. Physical items from my separate shop are covered by that shop's own terms.
2. What the resources are, and aren't
My guides, workbooks and audio are self-help resources for adults. They're designed to be practical and useful, but they aren't therapy, a diagnosis or medical advice, and they don't replace care from your GP or another qualified professional. Results vary from person to person, and no particular outcome is guaranteed.
Hypnosis audio: please only listen when you can safely relax. Never listen while driving, operating machinery or doing anything that needs your full attention. If you have epilepsy, psychosis or another serious mental health condition, please check with your doctor before using hypnosis audio.
If you're struggling right now, please don't wait. Call 999, NHS 111 (option 2), or Samaritans free on 116 123.
3. Buying from the store
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling on each item's page. The price you see when you pay is the price you're charged.
- Payments are taken securely by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
- Our agreement starts when your payment is confirmed. You'll see a confirmation page and receive an email.
- If there's an obvious pricing mistake, I'll contact you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or a full refund.
4. Getting your download
Digital items are available straight away after payment:
- on the confirmation page;
- by email, using the address you gave at checkout;
- in your member area, where you can download them again later.
Download links are private and expire after a short time for security. You can always get a fresh link from your confirmation email or member area.
If you have any trouble downloading, email me and I'll sort it out.
5. Your right to cancel
Normally you have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content that's supplied straight away, the law allows that right to end once the download is made available, as long as you agree to this before you pay.
Before checkout, you'll be asked to tick a box confirming you want immediate access and understand you'll lose the 14-day right to cancel. Because of that, digital items can't be returned or refunded simply because you've changed your mind.
6. If something's wrong
Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 aren't affected. Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If a file is faulty or won't open, tell me and I'll fix it or send a replacement. If I can't, you're entitled to a refund.
Please email bookings@thedynamictherapist.com with your order details.
7. Using what you've bought
When you buy or download an item, you get a personal licence to use it for your own private, non-commercial use. You can:
- keep copies on your own devices;
- print guides and workbooks for your own use.
Please don't share, resell, upload, republish or use the material with clients or groups without my written permission. Everything on this website, including text, audio, guides and images, belongs to me or is used with permission.
8. Free downloads
Free guides are offered for your personal use on the same licence terms. They're free to download, but please don't resell or republish them.
9. Member accounts
If you have a member account, please keep your login details private. I may suspend an account that's being misused, for example if downloads are being shared publicly. You can close your account at any time by emailing me.
10. Responsibility
I take care to make sure my resources are accurate and useful. Nothing in these terms limits my responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, I'm not responsible for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of me breaking these terms, or for losses caused by using the resources against the guidance above. If I'm responsible for a loss connected to a store purchase, my liability is limited to the price you paid for that item.
11. Using this website
- Articles and information on this website are for general information, not personal advice.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience. I'm not responsible for their content.
- Please don't misuse the website, for example by trying to access areas you're not entitled to.
- How I use your information is explained in the privacy policy.
12. Changes, complaints and the law
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you buy something is the one that applies to that purchase.
If you have a complaint, please email me first and I'll do my best to resolve it quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
