12 weeks for Christian men · waiting list open
Built to Stand.
A 12-week course for Christian men who are tired of carrying it all on their own, and want to build on a foundation that holds when the storms come.
Honest conversation, scripture, prayer, and practical tools you can use the same week.
Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Is this for you?
Built for men who'd rather not talk about it.
- You're a Christian man, whether you've followed Christ for years, drifted away, or are finding your way back.
- You're carrying something you don't talk about much: stress, Anger, Anxiety, a habit, a broken relationship, or just the feeling you're on your own with it.
- You'd value an honest room, practical tools and other men who'll stand with you.
I'm Simon. I'm a Christian, and a practitioner who works with people on the patterns that keep them stuck. I came back to faith in 2026 after a very hard couple of years, and I know how much it matters to have other men alongside you. That's what this course is for.
The 12 weeks
One theme a week.
Real life, not theory.
A draft outline. It may be refined before the first group starts.
- Week 1
The foundation
Identity in Christ, not in the job, the past or other people's opinions.
2 Corinthians 5:17 - Week 2
What I'm carrying
Naming the weight honestly, in a room where nobody has to pretend.
Matthew 11:28–30 - Week 3
Pride and asking for help
Why men go it alone, and what it costs us.
James 4:6 - Week 4
Anger
What sits underneath it, and how to respond rather than react.
James 1:19–20 - Week 5
Worry and Anxiety
Practical tools and prayer for the thoughts that won't switch off.
Philippians 4:6–7 - Week 6
Shame and forgiveness
Receiving grace, and forgiving others without pretending it didn't matter.
1 John 1:9 - Week 7
Temptation and habits
Understanding the pattern, and building a way out before you need it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 - Week 8
Fathers, sons and family
What we were given, what we pass on, and what we can change.
Ephesians 6:4 - Week 9
Relationships and boundaries
Loving well, saying no well, and being honest at home.
Colossians 3:12–14 - Week 10
Work, money and purpose
Doing it as unto the Lord, not for approval or status.
Colossians 3:23 - Week 11
Brotherhood
Friendship, accountability and not walking alone.
Proverbs 27:17 - Week 12
Built to stand
A plan for the months ahead, built on the rock, and the men who'll walk it with you.
Matthew 7:24–27
How it will work
Small, honest and safe.
A small group
A handful of men, so everyone gets heard. Nobody is made to share more than they want to.
Faith and practical tools
Each week pairs scripture and prayer with something practical you can use that week.
What's said stays in the room
Confidentiality is agreed by everyone at the start, with the usual safety limits explained.
Not therapy, and not a substitute for care
If someone needs more support, I'll say so and help them find it.
Dates, format (online or in person near Doncaster) and any cost will be confirmed before anything opens, and you'll have everything in writing before you commit to anything.
Waiting list
Be first to hear when it opens.
No commitment. I'll email you once with the dates and details, and you decide then.
An open invitation
Come to church with me.
You don't have to wait for the course. I go to Hope Baptist Church in Rossington, Doncaster, and you'd be very welcome to join me on a Sunday. If you'd like to, tell me in the waiting list form or email me, and I'll look out for you and introduce you to a few people. Nobody likes walking in on their own.
